I'm a collector, because "hoarder" is such an ugly word. As just one example, I have 23 books on carnivorous plants, not including regional botany and/or ecology works that include them. And what is a carnivorous plant book collection without Day of the Triffids bookends? Or a Venus Flytrap tea canister?

I'm also a writer, because "failed journalist" is such an unfortunate description, and I've been fortunate enough to have had a few carnivorous plant-related articles published here and there.
